昨年の作品ですが大御所"Herbie Hancock"が『Imagine Project』と題して、“平和と地球規模の責任”をコンセプトに掲げ、世界の名だたるミュージシャンとレコーディングしたアルバム。
参加するアーティストは、国境・ジャンルを超えた豪華なメンバーで、"P!NK"や"Jeff Beck"、"John Legend"、"K'Naan"、"Los Lobos"、"The Chieftains"、"Ravi Shankar"、"Chaka Khan"、"Wayne Shorter"等、ハンコック自身が彼らの元を訪れセッション、録音して完成したアルバム。
とんでもなく壮大なプロジェクトでカバー曲ですが素晴らしい出来だと思います。
